DIY: wooden table mat

The tutorial of this wooden table mat is very easy to realize. You have 2 ways to do this: either you make 3 circles that you slot into each other or you do a garland that you coil as a snail. I chose the second solution by simplicity but also because it is nice to have it as well uncoiled on the table as decoration.

All you need is:

- Forty wooden beads
- Wool or rope
- Scissors
- a needle

This year I am celebrating Christmas in München (in the German style) but this doesn’t mean that I cannot decorate my flat in my own way, with my swedish Christmas decorations that I got from my beloved grand-mother. In Sweden, 24 December is the highlight of Christmas. Swedes prepare for Christmas Advent candles. Traditional Christmas decorations include a Christmas tree, Yule Goats of straw, tomte and angel figurines. Lucky lunch

I wanted to post this very quickly only to recommend you a nice place to eat burgers in Munich. When you step into Hans im Glück, the first thing that hit you is this forest and the design of the restaurant: wood and birch trees everywhere. The appearance and the design of the restaurant is definitely amazing. The burgers are actually also tasty: the flavour is good, the cheese, the sauce and the bred. You get to choose as well which bred you want for your burger. Even though the burgers taste pretty good, I think I would rather go back there to see the design again than for the burgers. swedish inspirations

This is an inspiration post about interior decoration and design. It’s my lovely and dear swedish friend Marie who recommended me this shop; first of all because it’s swedish and secondly because she knew I would love it and write a post about it :) This shop is amazing: the decorations and the posters are beautiful, I could seriously think to buy everything but I’m gonna hold myeself back! I have always been drawn to the combination of gray and pink. I like the way they can balance each other: the former’s a little moody, and the latter’s a little feminine or a lot girly. Those colors are both very lovely and soft and putting them together just make an outflit even warmer and more cozy. But the duo also does well matched with strong colors such as black and white. From my point of view, you can never go wrong with this nice mix of colors!
